"One of the toughest things I've ever had to do was forgive someone who wasn't sorry."

Do you understand why that is? Because forgiveness is for your well being, not theirs.

Holding  on to grudges isn't healthy. I see so many people  brag about being petty like there's some sort of prize you receive when you throw shade or cut people off at the drop of a dime. I'm not saying don't cut negative folk from your life because that is necessary for self preservation, without a doubt. However, acknowledge the wrong-doings, accept them and move on gracefully, not with a bad heart. Don't allow yourself to be over-consumed by painful memories of your past.

Forgiveness is the self-care word of the day because in order to free ourselves we must heal our minds and our hearts.

Think of something that you've been holding onto and repeat as many times as needed: "There is a place of forgiveness in me."
